Teton Gravity Research in 3D!

Teton Gravity Research, extreme sports production house well known for pushing the limits of new technology approached us about filming some amazing helicopter ski jumps as a part of their 3D experiment. 21st Century 3Ds Jason Goodman filled the role of the stereographer with Pedro Guimaraes assisting.
We provided a side-by-side and a beam-splitter rig with RED cameras and Angenioux lenses that were mounted inside of a helicopter at times to capture this incredible footage.
You can read more about this experiment on TGR website.

  1. Very useful content with excellent ideas. I really appreciate your post, thank you for sharing. The process of skiing downhill using a helicopter is what is referred to as heli-skiing. Heli skiing has gained a lot of popularity with countries such as USA, New Zealand, Himalayas, Nepal Chile , Canada and others having areas that are very popular for this activity. Helicopter ski is a bit expensive owing to the fact that it is very difficult to operate and keep the helicopters in good shape. The problem of visibility can also pose a very big challenge especially when the weather is inclement.
